Balcoon Garden Furniture – Menemen: Open-Air Showroom Design

Designing a garden furniture sales point has different requirements from a retail store: products are heavy, the display area covers both indoor and outdoor space, and customers want to experience the product before buying.

Indoor-Outdoor Integration

Balcoon Showroom was configured as much outdoors as İzmir's climate permitted. The customer entered the showroom first passing through the indoor exhibition area, then reaching the outdoor exhibition courtyard. This sequence guided both the brand narrative (interior → exterior) and the thrill of discovery.

Product Experience

Display was planned so the customer could sit in the chair, examine the table by touch, and feel the fabric quality. Product sets were presented as living environment configurations: complete ecosystems consisting of chair + table + terrace parasol + accessories.

Colour and Material

Powder-coated aluminium is the primary material of this category for both durability and lightness. Outdoor fabric colours could be changed seasonally; this flexibility added vibrancy to a fixed design.
