Eges Life Villas – Villakent: Villa Complex with Timber Cladding and Anthracite Metal Details

Eges Life Villas formed a complex in the calm, sea-adjacent area of Güzelbahçe — not uniform, but where each villa has its own garden, pool, and interior, while the whole speaks a consistent aesthetic language. The interior architecture brief was shaped around simultaneously maintaining both individual villa identity and the coherence of the complex.

Identity and Coherence Balance in Complex Design

In multi-villa complexes, the greatest danger is similarity sliding into sameness. To prevent this risk, each villa shared the same material palette but used it differently. In one, timber was oriented horizontally; in another, vertically. In one, anthracite metal was the main facade accent; in another, it was used as a roofline profile.

Timber Cladding: Climate and Aesthetics

The timber cladding selection was made to provide durability against Güzelbahçe's mild but wet winter months. Thermally modified cladding was optimised for mould and moisture resistance. The colour palette was kept in tones that would develop a patina over time, becoming more valuable.

Private Pool and Garden

Each villa's private pool was positioned differently in terms of both functional and view value. Pool surrounds were completed with slate paving and decorative gravel. Evening lighting — ground spotlights and plant illumination — gave the garden a distinct atmosphere during evening hours.
