Leo Pub joined one of İzmir's most vibrant neighbourhood nightlife areas in the Bostanlı district of Karşıyaka. The 210 sqm space had to simultaneously carry bar, performance, and social gathering functions.

Project Summary

Location: Bostanlı, Karşıyaka, İzmir Area: 210 sqm Material Palette: Green accents / Industrial brick / Oak timber Year: 2026

Colour Decision: Green

Green was both a brand identity and spatial decision in this project. Dark bottle-green accents — bar counter surface, bespoke wall panel, LED profile frames — gave the space a powerful and recognisable identity. Green carried both fresh (a new venue) and rich (premium) connotations.

Bar Counter: The Heart of the Space

The bar counter was a central element around which all circulation was organised. The bar shelf opposite, with its rows of bottles and glasses, created a stage effect. Under-counter LED lighting brought forward both the bar surface and the floor.

Industrial Brick

Industrial brick cladding expressed both respect for the building's past fabric and allegiance to the traditional aesthetics of nightlife venues. Brick was also acoustically valuable: its sound absorption coefficient is lower than soft surfaces but high enough to make a difference.
