Sasalı is a rapidly developing new residential district on İzmir's north side. Ş.T. Villa stood out as one of the most striking projects in the area. Its 390 sqm were grounded in the contradictory but harmonious coexistence of natural stone and steel.

Project Summary

Location: Sasalı, İzmir Area: 390 sqm Material Palette: Natural stone / Structural steel / Glass Year: 2026

Steel and Stone Dialogue

Structural steel served both structural and aesthetic functions in the space. Exposed steel beams and columns offered a sharp and technical language against the rustic weight of natural stone. This contrast was a deliberate design decision: raw and processed, heavy and light, rooted and modern.

Glass: Openness and Transparency

Facade glass connected the space to the olive groves and İzmir bay. The double-height living room glass facade offered a light performance that changed with the time of day.

Floor and Texture

Ground floor with natural stone, upper floors completed with oak parquet. This material difference reinforced the different character of the spaces: ground floor public, upper floors private.
